Moritz Wagner returning to Michigan for his junior season

Michigan Wolverines sophomore forward Moritz Wagner has withdrawn from the 2017 NBA Draft and will return to school for his junior season, per Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

What It Means:

Wagner started all 38 games in his sophomore season and explored his NBA options by entering the draft without an agent. After going through the draft process the 6'10" forward is returning to school where he will take on a larger leadership role with 2016-17 starters Zak Irvin, Derrick Walton, and DJ Wilson all leaving the program.

Wagner averaged 12.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. He shot 56.0% from the field including 39.5% from beyond the arc last season.
